First battery energy storage project in Finland with 220MWh
This is the first battery energy storage system (BESS) to be realized in Alapitkä, in the municipality of Lapinlahti, Finland. The so-called Battery Park is a stand‑alone, ready‑to‑build, utility‑scale BESS project developed entirely by Altenso in collaboration with its local partner; Infinergies Finland Oy. BESS plays a strategic role in Finland’s energy transformation.
