Grid-Connected Battery for Frequency Regulation and Grid Stabilization

SMA Altenso‘ s largest BESS project in Germany is a 130 MW/354 MWh system in Hoexter, North Rhine-Westphalia. Altenso developed this BESS and builds it as full EPC including MV and HV construction, substation and grid connection. Altenso will also provide Operations and Maintenance services (O&M) for the plant. 

This battery park is among the first large-scale battery storage systems in Germany to use SMA inverters featuring SiC MOSFET technology.
